Dr. Dewey H. Jones, III
Board-Certified Orthopedic SurgeonDr. Jones, III began Brookwood Orthopedics in 1975 in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. He has grown the practice with a focus on quality orthopedic care to all patients. Dr. Jones, III received his MD degree from the University of Alabama Medical School in Birmingham in 1969. His internship training at Carraway Methodist Medical Center was completed in 1970. Dr. Jones served in the US Air Force until 1972 and then completed his orthopedic training at the University of Alabama Medical Center in 1975. Upon finishing his orthopedic residency he formed Brookwood Orthopedics where he continues to practice.
Dr. Jones, III served as clinical faculty at the University of Alabama Medical Center. The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery certified him in 1976. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Jones, III has been Vice President of the Jefferson County Medical Society and a delegate in for the Alabama Orthopedic Society.
Dr. Jones, III is experienced in treating adult and pediatric patients with musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. He is a member of the medical staff of Brookwood Medical Center, St. Vincent's Hospital, and Trinity Medical Center.
